I stood there for the longest time. The waves crashed on the rocks and the foam sprayed my face, making me look all teary. I was poised to take the plunge but my feet were rooted firmly on the concrete; something was holding me back.
I took a deep breath and tried to jump but my feet wouldn’t budge. I was now exasperated with the struggle between my body and my mind. Hot tears ran down my face, mixing with the salty spray of the sea, thawing my body; I could now wriggle my toes.
The thought of dying scared me now. I took a step back and turned around to walk away from the sea.
But it had some other plans for me. A huge wave came and caught me by surprise. It seemed as if the sea was in on my plans of suicide.
